The Business Services Conference is the event of the year for those working in non-teaching positions within Catholic Education Tasmania!

Where: Country Club Tasmania | 10 Casino Rise | Launceston

When: Thursday 27 and Friday 28 July 2023

Who: Non-teaching staff within Catholic Education Tasmania

Take advantage of this opportunity to get out of your office, network and get to know your colleagues, relax, and learn whilst having some fun!

In 2023, attendees will hear from award winning keynote speakers Daniel Sih and Julie Cross.

Daniel Sih will lead you through a variety of sessions designed to help you rethink your relationship with the online world. Through Priority Samurai, Daniel will help you identify your priorities and discuss practical strategies that you can make to focus your time and attention on what matters most.

Daniel’s Space Sensei session will support you to improve digital health and well-being for yourself and others, as well as increase your productivity.

Isn’t it time you invested in the digital health and well-being of your team to become a Space Sensei?

Julie ‘Sparkle’ Cross is one of the most inspiring keynote speakers in Australia and we are so lucky to have her join our Conference this year!

Julie is a masterful storyteller and inspiring change maker, combining powerful insights into human behaviour with practical strategies that leaves audiences with powerful tools for living their best life and setting a higher standard in all aspects of their existence.

Julie truly has excelled in the university of real life and we can't wait for Julie to join us at the Conference, as she will certainly bring back your SPARKLE!

What else can you expect from this Conference?

We want you to relax, have fun, chat with your colleagues, get to know one another, so taking all of that into account, we are offering some exciting fun/relaxing workshops which will help you achieve just that!

From pottery making to horse riding, along with wellness and self-care workshops, all attendees will have the opportunity to de-stress and do something out of the ordinary.

Combined with a welcome cocktail party and conference dinner, you are sure to walk away from this year’s conference with new friends, a renewed focus, and maybe even a piece of your very own art!

Registrations close Friday 30 June 2023 so don’t delay!

Still not sure if this conference is for you?

Hear from your colleagues who have attended the conference in previous years.

An excellent conference covering a diverse range of topics relevant to all Business Services staff. For me, it has become the place to connect with my peers, share information and gain valuable information from other Business Services staff.

TCEO Executive Administrator

2022 was my first year attending the CET Business Services Conference. The workshop sessions and fun activities were enlightening, uplifting and super fun. It was all very well put together and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and getting to know my colleagues in a more relaxed setting. I am really looking forward to this year's conference.

School Administration Officer

As a new member of staff entering into Catholic Education Tasmania I have found the Business services conference to play a very beneficial role for networking and integration into what is, at the heart of it, a very big team. Though schools are generally made up of many staff, some roles can be very isolating. The Business services conference allows these roles to come together and share best practices, participate, mingle and have fun!

School Finance Officer

The nitty gritty

The cost of the Conference is $400 for Direct Funded Colleges and subsidised at $250 for Shared Funded schools/colleges and TCEO Staff, which will be invoiced directly to your school/office.

You are invited to spend two nights’ accommodation at the Country Club Tasmania on Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 July to attend the conference. For details on how to book accommodation please see the registration form.
