‘It Takes a SPARK’ STEM Conference Tasmania 2022 brought Northern Tasmanian Year 4 to 10 students, teachers, industry leaders together for an immersive day of interactive STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) workshops, networking, and problem-solving activities.
Designed to acknowledge and promote STEM learning initiatives, STEM MAD seeks to address real-world problems and demonstrate how students in Catholic schools take action that matters. Student teams are invited to design a product, service or innovation to 'Make A Difference' (MAD) to others or the environment.
2022 Tasmanian students will be showcasing their entries via an online presentation on 11 August from 1.45 - 3.00pm
The online showcase will include the Presentation of 2022 Tasmanian STEM MAD awards + selected excerpts from winning videos + a guest presentation by Dr Lila Landowski (Neuroscientist) on Learning Superpowers for students
