Around the Schools

A time for giving

For the past 27 years, the Hobart’s ABC Giving Tree raises money and gathers gifts for those in need across the state and brightens their festive season.

At the official launch of Tasmania’s biggest Christmas charity on Friday 27 December, the Years 7 & 8 Choir from Mount Carmel College sang two songs beautifully under the instruction of Madelena Andersen Ward. The Choir sang Hold Back the River by James Bay to welcome both invitees to the launch and those listening live on ABC radio. Then once the lights had been officially switched on, the choir performed again.
