From the Acting Director
Another year is coming to a close and Christmas is almost upon us. 2014 has been a very busy one for all of us in Catholic Education. The year has seen some sadness but has produced much joy and a great deal of hope.
I want to take this occasion to express my gratitude to all who work in Catholic Education in Tasmania. We must never lose sight of our mission to enable our students to flourish through Christ’s teachings.
Christmas is a time of celebration joy and togetherness and I certainly hope that these sentiments will be enjoyed by all families in Tasmania this year.
I hope the new year brings renewed hope, energy and future successes in our Schools and Colleges.
In the words of Pope Francis last year:
“On this day illumined by the Gospel hope which springs from the humble stable of Bethlehem, I invoke the Christmas gift of joy and peace upon all: upon children and the elderly, upon young people and families, the poor and the marginalized. May Jesus, who was born for us, console all those afflicted by illness and suffering; may he sustain those who devote themselves to serving our brothers and sisters who are most in need. Happy Christmas to all!”
I too offer my cordial best wishes for a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
