Carols on the Hill

The Tasmanian Catholic Education Office is proud to be supporting the Archdiocese of Hobart’s inaugural Carols on the Hill event in Hobart. Tickets are now available to order online. Supported by the City of Hobart, Carols on the Hill is a free, traditional outdoor carols event specifically designed for families to share in the joyful spirit of Christmas. The event will be staged at the Hobart campus of Guilford Young College on Sunday 17 December 17 from 7.00pm to 9.00pm, with gates opening at 6.00pm. The oval is secure and can comfortably hold around 1,200 people, making it an ideal venue for families with children.

Compered by Tasmanian-born speaker and author Sam Clear, Carols on the Hill will feature local group and individual performances, as well as community carol singing. The lighting of candles as dusk descends on the city is sure to make for a memorable carols event. The Catholic Education Giving Tree will offer people the opportunity to donate non-perishable food items to support those in need this Christmas, and families are invited to light a candle and say a prayer at the nativity scene. How to order your tickets Entry to Carols on the Hill is free; however, attendees must order tickets through an official website. A valid email address is required to order tickets.
